Yo I'm having a hard time finding that belt
Wow junk have one 180 hrs no reverse what the hell plastic!!!!!!!!!
Why he didn’t clean !!!!😮
You installed the new bottom part backward, the adjustment screws was supposed to face out for adjustment. 🤔🤔🤔I didn't see the screws after you install it....
They scammed you my guy
LOL
thanks guy very help too bad you cant teach a dixie chopper to hold slope and mow it
The very WORST part of the job is removing the old gasket. Engine body is 16:25 aluminium so you have to be very careful with your scraper. Painstaking work.
I have watched a bunch of these videos on how to replace the cam with the compression release on them, but my question is, are the new replacement release pins built stronger (thicker) so they won't break as easy?
I doubt it. Some people start it by blocking the air intake with their hand after turning the engine just a little bit past the compression stroke. Get it spinning with the intake blocked then take your hand off & it usually starts. The broken parts usually sit on the bottom of the engine.
I got this problem and was wondering if I can just use a wimmer compression release spark plug adapter and bypass this stupid camshaft compression release bull shit...
You the Mando! Thanks for helping me completely give up on my tractor, appreciate it, high five!
Why not put the spray tack on the gasket and not the cover? I've always put the gasket on a piece of cardboard to apply and then put it on either the cover.
Hey, buddy. I have a Toro Zero turn Model #74325, Serial #230000237. I have coil issues like the one you illustrate in this video. Can you help me determine exactly which coil to buy and where I can get it from, please?
If Your engine was running when You broke it down- avoid any confusion, Mark the cam and crank to Your satisfaction with a Punch- two dots on either gear or one dot on the other. Simple is what I am--Nothing simple ever works for me-- Good video .
You don't have to punch it because the timing marks are already there , just line it up !!
I've replaced lots of different weed eater backpack blower gas lines and other. So looks like they took the old off then forgot were the new goes onto. But they won't learn nothing if they dont try so its good they tried fixing it
I think all the parts are made the same if the Briggs part was so good it shouldn't have broke so a cheap brand part will work if it breaks ill be taking it apart a few more times
I am currently getting ready to start a small engine repair business in Tennessee and you were talking about the classes to become Briggs certified. That is something that I would like to do but I can’t find where to sign up for the classes. I am also planning on signing up with power distributors , how has the process been since posting this video?
GRATE‼️ ya✔️☝️
What hp was this engine ?
20hp
I still see crap down inside the engine block you should have sprayed it out better
Good video! I use a long extension with a magnetic 7/16 in socket on fill port! Cuts time way in half!
Waste of time, bad music.
not sure oil is gonna fix that
lol that's what I was thinking
Ha ha ha ha
Looks like you need a harbor freight engine my friend
Besides being poor quality why wouldn’t you use a sealed shielded bearing instead of an open one that with moisture will fail in no time John Deere uses the same transmission
i've had the experience where the cam is not broken, but acts like it is. I opened it up, and everything was intact. the cam had everything where it was supposed to be. So what was the problem, I put another cam in, but wondering what makes a xcam bnot work right if everything is intact on the cam.?
Broken compression release arm on the cam shaft. That is the pieces he's taking out of the pan with the magnet in this video, the little arm he showed is the release.
Valve adjustment was off.
All I can say is TYVM. Very good job explaining thorough breakdown on labor time and parts definitely got my subscription and alike first time here but I'm sure I'll be back God bless
Mine broke inside. $700 to fix!! This was for my back up residential mower, with hardly any use. Plastic was/is a bad idea.
Excellent. That was my problem to the tee. Very very helpful. Thanks
Who would’ve thought Drake was such a good mechanic.
Ha ha ha ha why does everyone think I look like Drake
How do you take the front one off
How do you take that
How do you take that off
I've got an Ariens mower with the rs800 transmission about 600 \700 hrs on it use it for a tractor in the off season. Pulling logs and brush and a rake only problem i had was a few axle seals its one tough transmission in my book my neighbor has the same tractor has lots of hrs with no problems
Where in Fl are you located?
Vero Beach FL
Bwahahahaha!!
Thanks, I needed a good laugh
You should have shown the two cams side by side to see what the counter wgt should look like and how it operates.
Those screws should have lock tite on them, the removable version of lock tite
Repairing the third one of these transmissions. These are not difficult to work on. It is a plastic composite, weight saving. The problem is owners of mowers not keeping mower cleaned off in all 3 I have repaired. Mulching blades tend to cause more build up of debris under mower vs high lift discharge blades. These transmissions are fast too. The shifter cam if debris gets under the cover, it will not shift into fwd or reverse smoothly, then operator keeps stomping on pedal and that breaks the shift cam.
I see this all the time! If they are kept clean they work pretty well but not being greaseable is an issue!
@@IndRepair they use this transmission in mower models overseas in Europe, General Transmission from what I read is a French Company. The design is good and works well if kept clean, a very fast transmission. The videos posted on youtube all say its unserviceable transmission, but the external shift parts and wheel seals are serviceable. It does require a special tool to remove the forward pulley though. The original owner of this mower with this transmission, if they register the mower online, the CVT belt was advertised as a lifetime warranty item. Not sure about the labor for a shop to change it is covered. The claims this company has had with these transmissions though they may have changed the belt warranty. I'm sure a lot of shops have refused to work on these because of time and not fully understanding how the transmission operates. The transmission uses a particular grease also and the gears inside are a strong composite material and the grease that comes out is usually negligeable. Tech help gentleman I spoke with say the transmission will operate without grease, but it is added in production to make gears less noisy. Even with grease, this transmission still makes a gear noise.

@@Thomas-ul3uy I agree, I have a review on the transmission and it really is not a bad design except that with the vibration the seals come out keep a good eye on them and blow off the transmission every couple mows (or every, especially if mowing sticks and stuff). I see 4-5 every year fail but usually just the upper kit like the because of the debris stuck in it and stomped on by the customer since the pedal gets stuck
I followed the video and repaired it quick as a wink. Thanks Mando.
No problem bud
Just bought identical mower, with 20hp engine, same exact issue, sold to me on marketplace for the same exact 200 bucks. Look forward to the plastic futures of smaller ride mowers !!! Good vid!!
You could’ve gotten to all of that through the battery box. It’s tight but doable
🤣🤣🤣some ppl i tell ya
God bless you I pray healing mentally physically spiritually over you that your heart mind body be softened and opened in Jesus gloriuos name I pray amen
Amen
Hail Satan!
Low quality and i dont knoe mowers. So no, i cant see it. Is that tiny wire to the right being dug into?
Funny thing is...90 percent of the people who see this won't see what's wrong here... But it looks like a fuel filter😂
Man I bought this lawnmower a year ago off of Facebook Marketplace. They apparently supposedly had it serviced. Ever since I got this thing it's been one issue after another. I just picked three things and now the PTO cables out. And this thing been a pain in the ass to find. I got people telling me it's about $65 and 4 weeks get delivery and then I try to take the old one off. That sound of a b****** stuck
$15 for the cable bud try to get it off Amazon
So far all ohv moters are junk
Lol, I get similar crap all the time. I love it when they say they "rebuilt their fuel pump" because it's always screwed up when they bring it to me.
Yep. My exact part on my Poulan pro broke by 1 1/2 yrs. Still under warranty. They put a better made one in and been working 5 more years no problem. Plastic is good and all but not everything should be plastic or whatever : ) although they charged $900 to Poulan or whoever. It was a rare part at the time very expensive.
